UFC 207 :Nunes vs. Rousey

The UFC 207 Live has had a fantastic 2016 that saw records broken on numerous fronts, and the promotion figures to close the year in the strongest way possible, with a Pay-Per-View headlined by the return of Ronda Rousey.Rousey, one of the most popular sports figures in the world, will take the Octagon after more than a year away at UFC 207 in December, but she’s far from the only attraction on the end-of-the-year card. Here’s what the event looks like so far.

Rousey returns for her first UFC action since November 2015 in a title fight against current champion Amanda Nunes. Rousey is one of the most dominant champions in UFC history and hopes to return to form in the main event of UFC 207. Nunes won the belt from Miesha Tate in devastating fashion at UFC 200 and the well-rounded Brazilian might face Rousey’s stiffest test to date.

UFC 207 Live Cody Garbrandt can talk-the-talk, but we’ll find out if he can walk-the-walk when he gets his dream fight against longtime UFC bantamweight champion Dominick Cruz. Garbrandt has spent the last six months trying to get Cruz to accept a fight against him. During that time, “No Love” KO’d then-undefeated foe Thomas Almeida and bantamweight veteran Takeya Mizugaki, making his calls for a title shot that much louder. Cruz won the belt back in January against TJ Dillashaw before completing his trilogy with Urijah Faber. He’ll now look to defeat a fresh face in his third title defense of his current run as UFC champion.

Rousey vs Nunes Live Rounding out this six-fight, four-hour PPV main card square measure former middleweight champion Chris Weidman against Yoel Romero, billowy welterweight contestant Donald Cerrone vs Kelvin Gastelum, and former women’s bantamweight champ Miesha Allen Tate against Raquel Pennington.

That not enough for you? The PRELIMINARY CARD has Frankie King of England vs. Jeremy Stephens, Khabib Nurmagomedov vs. archangel Johnson, and Rashad Evans vs. Tim Kennedy on FS1. On Fight Pass, Jim Miller welcomes Thiago Alves to the lightweight division within the feature bout.

The first installment in the “Embedded” series for UFC 207 was released, as the promotion kicks off fight week. UFC 207 takes place this Saturday night from Madison Square Garden in New York City and features a trio of title fights.

Conor McGregor, who challenges Eddie Alvarez for the lightweight belt in the main event, is featured in this episode taking part in a training session. We also hear from Alvarez, who talks with the media.

Here is the complete fight card for the event, as fights will air on UFC Fight Pass, Fox Sports 1 and pay-per-view.
